Created to become like Christ

As the spirit of the lord works within us, we become more and more like him and reflect his glory even more.

2 Corinthians 3:18 NLT

Point to Ponder: I was created to become like Christ.

Question to consider: In what area of my life do I need to ask the spirit’s power to be like Christ today?

From the very beginning, Gods plan has been to make you like his son, Jesus. This is your destiny, and the purpose of your life. What does the full image and likeness of God look like? It looks like Jesus Christ! On earth, Gods ultimate goal for your life is not comfort, but Christlike character.

I answered the question below:

In what area of my life do I need to ask the spirit’s power to be like Christ today?

Everyday I wake up I thank Jesus Christ for another day. But I also realize that I need prayer and protection from the cops. I pray to the Lord for protection against hate, prejudiced behavior, and corrupt cops’ daily “protocol” for policing. When the police arrest me, even though I am a strong person, that doesn’t give them the right to make trouble or arrest me because they think I’m a threat.

Thus, every time law enforcement detains me or denies me rights. I ask God to guide me out of the shadows that law enforcement has cast over my life. I truly believe that as a minority woman, I am subject to crime and mis information, we all are. But when it comes to explaining your side to cops, they don’t wanna hear it. There’s no following evidence, until you play their little game of hiring a lawyer and going through courts. And that’s not cool. A public defender don’t give a crap, they get like a million cases a year. No in order to prove your innocence, you have to play their game.

The majority of public arrests might have been prevented with intervention, therapy, or just by avoiding conflict and working together to find a solution. In all honesty, if the cops reflect the complete image and likeness of God. They would be listening to several scenarios of what might have occurred or might not have occurred. Even if we’re only conversing, keep in mind that it takes two to tango.
