WHAT MAKES GOD SMILE?
“The Lord is pleased with those who worship him and trust his love.”
PSALM 147:11
ASSERTIVE POINTS: God smiles when I trust Him.
QUESTION TO ASK: Since God knows what’s best, in what areas of my life do I need to trust him more?
Since bringing pleasure to God is the first purpose of your life, your most important task is to discover how to do that. Fortunately, the Bible gives us a clear example of a life that gives pleasure to God. The man’s name was Noah. From his life, we learn the five acts of worship that make God smile.
God smiles when we love him supremely.
God smiles when we trust him completely.
God smiles when we obey him wholeheartedly.
God smiles when we praise and thank him.
God smiles when we fulfill his purposes.

Since God knows what’s best, in what areas of my life do I need to trust him more?
To be honest, my relationship with God began at the same time as I began to lose faith in society. I can therefore declare that for a considerable amount of time, I have trusted the man upstairs. Maybe there are some areas where I fall short and don’t allow him to take charge, like how I deal with the police. Or my negative perception of how I think others see me.
When it comes to being judged by the public and destroyed by my peers, I need to have more faith in God. I cannot waste time or energy worrying about how people treat me. I have faith that he would look for amiable, content people with whom I can connect with, build enduring friendships, and build trust with other gifted, accomplished people.
Here are five ways to deepen your connection with Him:
Improving your relationship with God is a personal and spiritual journey that requires intention, faith, and consistency. Here are five ways to deepen your connection with Him:
1. Pray Regularly
Prayer is a direct line of communication with God. Set aside time daily to talk to Him, not just to ask for things, but to express gratitude, seek guidance, and grow in faith.
2. Read and Meditate on Scripture
The Bible is God’s Word and a source of wisdom, encouragement, and correction. Meditate on scriptures, apply them to your life, and allow them to shape your thoughts and actions.
3. Worship and Praise
Worship isn’t just about singing—it’s about honoring God with your life. Spend time in worship through music, service, and acknowledging His presence in all that you do.
4. Live Out Your Faith
Faith without action is incomplete. Show love, forgiveness, and kindness to others, serve your community, and strive to reflect God’s character in your daily life.
5. Surround Yourself with Other Believers
Fellowship with other Christians helps you stay accountable and spiritually strong. Join a church, attend Bible studies, or engage in faith-based groups that encourage growth and mutual support.
