Celebrate Others: Cultivating a Winning Mindset

I wake up every day with a great outlook on life. I believe there are plenty of possibilities in the world and that I can always improve, regardless of how many times I fail.

Although not all of us are winners at first, you progressively improve at the things you focus on or work hard at over time.

Consider my career in music. I’ve been listening to music from birth and creating lyrics for as long as I can remember.

I enjoy listening to many types of music, and I frequently say that a song is wonderful if it has a melody and makes me feel content or liberated.

Naturally, there are many different kinds of success in music.

I have professionally recorded at least five songs that have been used on TV or radio.

However, I haven’t saw any monetary value yet. Because creating art requires work and a bit of luck from the universe. I would not say that my music career has failed; rather, it has only begun to grow into new genres.

I grew up knowing I was different from others, and I frequently had a large circle of friends. But only because we are all milestones in one other’s lives till we reach our ultimate goal. I’m not really competitive, but people enjoy competing against me; this makes it fun. Developing genuine rapport with other people and applauding them on when they triumph.

Not becoming envious when they defeat you. I enjoy seeing other people win. Because I can’t win with a clean conscious if I know the person has never had an opportunity to win in their lives.

And it means you don’t have to be the world’s best athlete or the next Bob Ross.

You could win at something simple, such as assisting a neighbor during a power outage, philanthropy, or returning to college. Learn a new language. What ever.

The journey in life is one in which you will lose and eventually win. Even if you think you can’t. So be confident and know that you are already a winner!
