How do you say good-bye to someone you never expected to say goodbye to? 

On Father’s Day, June 15th, 2025, a Very Important Person was called to heaven’s gates. I lost a friend, and the world lost an angel. Amber, I hope our adventure together was as memorable and enjoyable as we anticipated. I lost my great grandma when I was little, and meeting you seemed like she had blessed me with another grandmother, but one who became my best friend.

I’m going to miss watching Blacklist and Chicago PD with you. All those days spent watching our shows, and the shifts we worked together at Da Vinci Italian— in Elkhart. I only knew you for four years and had the opportunity to be a part of your life for two of them. And you did more for me than anyone in my family could have. I wish I had the secret to life, or immortality, so you could have lived forever.

But I suppose that would not be fair to you; paradise is waiting. Life is short, and I’ve learnt to value the time we spend with individuals we care about because it goes by so quickly. We enjoyed Thanksgiving, Christmas dinners, and birthdays together. You were the first person to get me a German chocolate cake; for my birthday.

How you held my hand when I visited Manhattan. I am going to miss you. You had the best laugh in the world, and your jokes were ironically humorous.

You were the coolest! Ms. Amber I’m sorry I wasn’t there in your final days, but I know you’re resting. So I live with that in my heart. Knowing you are not suffering and are in a better place. You are presently in God’s home and are safe. But I know we’ll see one other again; just not anytime soon, because you always told me I had a long journey ahead of me. I love you, Ms Amber; you will live in our hearts forever. 🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🕊️🩷🩷🩷😇😇 😇😇😇

FUN FACT*

On Sunday, June 19, 2022, which is coincidentally her daughter’s birthday, Amber, the family, and I celebrated Father’s Day. 

Four days before her daughter’s birthday, on Father’s Day 2025, Amber  passed away. Those who watch over us and become our angels, is one of the greatest gift from God 👼
